Well, hoping I can pull some old sheep into this game because I I'd like to fight alongside you guys again and I honestly think that you guys, of anyone I've known, would enjoy a realistic sim. Anyways, here goes.

Upsides:
-Gameplay: This game is difficult. I'll tell you that off the bat. And you'll often be going up against people in the game that have been there a while and adjusted. Fear not though, as you too will learn in time and become a crack shot. After playing a month or so I've seriously gotten to the point of being able to play other games and being more effective then I'd ever had imagined. Accounting for bullet drop and spread become almost second nature. You learn VERY FAST about the difference between concealment and cover and when you want which one.

-By Land, Air, and Sea: There's infantry of course, and vehicles of most shapes and sizes. Anti-air and anti-armor guns. Aircraft of a dozen varieties, and even destroyers and riverboats to deal with. These are all in the game all the time and they can all effect eachother. A fairmile can blow up a Pz with a lucky shot moments before a Stucka divebombs him. And all of these are being played by real players, not AI. Which bring me to my next point....

-Insane Damage Models: You hear it hear first. Weapons, armor, and even the critical areas of each and every vehicle are modelled. You learn FAST where to hit things and what to hit them with. A Tiger tank will shrug off a 2 pounder ATG with ease just about anywhere you can hit them. The Churchhill 7 will do much the same to most guns, but when it comes up against an 88 it relies on distance, which part of the armor it hits, the angle it hits, and if there were any vital areas or crewmen in that portion of the tank. You can have shot glance off, which scared you to death if you know what's good for you. You can lose tracks which really can suck. You can have crewmen killed even by spall from the enemy rounds. And of course what game would be complete with catching fire and/or blowing up? And it's like this for every last vehicle in the game. I've gone after a HE111 with my Hurricane and took some shots. One hit a fuel line and it was quite satisfying to see gas billowing out. Another burst hit the oil line with the same effect. The third... well, his engine caught fire and that was that as he fought with the controls to try to fly a 2 engine plane with only 1 working.

-Your Equipment is Important: If you lose anything, be it tank, ship, plane, or infantryman you can't just simply wait for another to spawn like in BF2. That unit is gone and no one on your side can use it anymore. If you take out the last DAC and get it fried no one will be able to drive it. The equipment is spread out and shared among the players and if you lose it it won't be back until you can get new stuff shipped from England or France (or Germany) to replace it.

-Fighting (and COMMANDING) A "Real" War: These battles have victors. Campaigns can be won and lost... and PLAYERS are the ones commanding the battles and deciding what brigades should attack where. Feinting against one target in that desperate attempt to take over Leige without expending large amounts of material just in case these other brigades want to counter-attack. Brigades and even whole divisions can be routed and taken out of play for hours on end, causing huge and exploitable gaps in the enemy line.

-Cooperation: This is a LARGE game. It's played across a good chunk of simulated Europe and battles can get well over a hundred people easy around major towns. You will need to call in all branches of the service you have access to if you want to be successful. You will need to call in Spitfires to take out those HE111s that are bombing your Armybase and, if possible get some Hurricanes looking for enemy tanks, anti-armor guns, and spawn points. Also if you can get a destroyer or two the guard the harbor it's always a help because if they slip thier own in it will be a pain in the ass to remove them. Also you need to work together to bomb enemy factories to reduce production and the High Commands plot out the attacks that you ultimately decide the fate of.

-Sound: Good work here for the most part.

---

Middle Ground:
-Equipment: Historically modelled to the last HE shell. This typically means the Allies are in deep trouble on the land as even when the devs "fudge" it we still end up pitting Tigers against Shermans.

---

Downsides:
-Graphics: Not up to modern par but the game is currently about to receive a new engine to run it. This will allow better graphics, smoother terrain, and much more.

-Numbers Imbalance: You guys can help solve this by going Allied. Later on in the war we get mopped up by the large amount of Axis players that only want to play with the high end and "cool" german tier 2 and 3 tanks. The more people we have to fight for the British and French, the better!

-Payment: It is an MMO and charges you but there is constant development that is easily visible to any player.

---

There's more buy it's 2:32AM and I think I'lll just have to add it later.

Hey, the website is here. I will work on getting some current screenshots from in-game later today or tommarow most likely. It has to be mentioned that all of the guns and infantry models are currently being re-worked and will look much better once they get pushed out. I'll try to find the photos of the work they've done so far on those too when I can.

It's awsesome and, as I said, the graphics are getting fixed up. Still looking for the Infantry Strike Team photos but in the meantime there is a 14 day trial....

Look for Erev in game. Failing that start asking around for an Anzac. We'll show you the way.

Dont have one yet.. I couldnt get registered for some reason. And I also dont have a joystick right now so it makes it almost impossible to do anything other than be infantry.. its insane how many diffrent things you can controle.. pretty sweet concet.. They need to do somthing with the graphics asap. also need to make the controles a little easier to use and more keyboard friendly instead of relying on a joystick

There are some keymaps this guy puts out that you can use, I'll have to find them for you (though I personally did it myself... though a joystick is honestly the best way to do things except for fine tuning your shot which is better by mouse). Here is a post with it: http://forums.battlegroundeurope.com/showpost.php?p=1538249&postcount=4

Also the rats will take any problem seriously. They can straighten out your log in issue asap. (The rats, of course, being the devs.)

Graphics work is in progress and should go faster when TE2 is released.
