Black Sheep History

Oh dear - no Java!!!!
Beach Bash
Here in lies the story of how 2 brothers in arms standing the shores of a Jungle Island after a grueling mission (and getting drunk) created the legacy of the Sheep.

2/15/99

Major Sperry gets Major Stryker hooked on Delta Force™.  Stryker quickly masters the game as a sniper and joins a squad (as of this writing that squad has no more).  Problems within the squad causes Stryker to look for greener pastures.

3/15/99

After 4 months of playing Delta Force™, Major Sperry decides to join a squad after being asked (and bugged by Stryker to join the squad he was on) time after time to join one .  He goes into a try out for squad (team name intentionally left out) in which it's a 1 on 1 with the Team Commander.  Needless to say that the Major only gets 1 kill and takes 9 deaths.   Thinking that he is outta here and needs to practice more, the other team thinks that he should be part of there squad anyway.  The Commander of the squad then tells the Major that we has to change his Name and proceeds to demote him to a Private.   Not taking this very well, the Major proceeds to tell the other Commander that "Nobody Demotes Me!!!".  This was followed by a LAWS shot right between the Commanders eyes.

4/16/99 - The Birth of the Sheep

After weeks of conversation, Major Sperry & Major Stryker decide to form a squad.  The Name for the squad was an easy one since we felt like misfits and we were sure that other people felt the same way.  We also knew that the Black Sheep were a force to be reckoned with especially when against overwhelming odds.   Basic Web Design was brought online and application to Novalogic was submitted.

5/4/99

Roger Wilco™ is brought online as the squads source of communication during game play.  Recruiting for the squad continues.   To further our skills with Roger Wilco™, games on NovaWorld™ are sought out that has Wilco running.  One game that was continuously running for a time was a cooperative mission hosted Mother.  After a week or so of playing with Mother, he became the 3rd Sheep to enter the flock.  As web development continued,   Mother took up the task of being Squad photographer.  This caused him to enter the world of web design to create the In Action section of the site.

5/15/99

New maps start showing up on the seen on the NovaWorld™ Public servers.  The Sheep are curious and have to check it out.  On one such fact finding mission, they encounter Sting in an Arctic operation.   He was on fire that night,  melting everything with his Saw.  He was ask to join the squad but he declined because he was waiting on the OK from another squad.   Needless to say things didn't work for Sting with the other squad (who shall remain nameless), so he became the 4th Sheep in the flock.  Sting's ability to handle a Saw was not the only asset he brought the squad.  His flair of the dramatics is evident in the Intelligence Report that he to created for us.  Yes, it's a good thing Sting!

5/28/99

Similar to Sting and on another of the Sheep's Black OPS mission to check out these New maps on the NovaWorld™ Public servers, Stryker and Sperry encounter Mr. Clark.  He too was on fire that night.  We quickly found out the he was a regular weapons specialist.  Although he's best with his M4, he is just as deadly with a Saw and he is known is pulling out his Sniper rifle and having fun taking out the opposing snipers.  Mr. Clark was ask to join the squad making him the 5th Sheep.

6/6/99

Major Sperry brings his custom maps to Delta Force™ players by starting up the Sheep's World™ game server.  The set of 8 custom Team Death Match maps quickly become a sought out place where players get a new look to the game.   The 5 members that make up the core player of the Sheep are found playing there almost every night.

6/18/99

After getting some exposure from the custom maps, the Black Sheep's recruitment picks up some speed.  During one of our nightly operations on the Sheep's World™  server, the Sheep run into an immovable object.  A Saw jockey that is both deadly in close quarters combat as well as at long ranges.  Wondering how such a thing is possible, the team talks to this player to see if we can make him part of our team.  As luck would have, Saw Sniper becomes the 6th Sheep and the newest member of the core team.  He educated us on the finer points of sniping with a Saw.  This truly made the Sheep a force to be reckoned with.

The story continues...
