Fireteams by Assmunch 3/16/2001 1:03:14 PM
We at BSS have started a new twist to our circle. We have expanded into 3 fireteams.

Our first and still our primary fireteam is A&D being run by =BSS=Himself.

Our second is TKOTH, being run by =BSS=BODYHAMMER

And our third fireteam is S&D being run by =BSS= Loose Loco.

We hope with this we can expand our skills as well as our playing diversity. As of right now we have a server running TKOTH, and A&D all the time. We hope to have an S&D up soon as well.

Please feel free to stop by and play a game with us, or stop by our challenge request and challenge one of our newest fireteams.

Hope to see you all on the battlefield.

Random Object Generator Tool Released by Pappy 3/21/2001 9:11:55 PM
Are you tired of spending a lot of time on a map only be left with the tiresome details for putting in trees and sounds and other objects!

Well heres a tool that will help out all you map makers out there.

The DFLWROG (Delta Force Land Warrior Random Object Generator) has the following features:

Scheme Creation tool that lets you select the objects that will become a
part of the items that will be placed. This creator looks like the DFLWMED's Add Item screen. With the Plug Ins for the DF3Images and DF3Sounds, a person can see or hear the Items that will become a part of the scheme.

The main screen looks similar to the DFLWMED's Map screen. All MIS files are brought into the map DFLWROG map screen. Unlike the DFLWMED, the items are only placed as dots but they are in the correct locations on the map.
You can move around the map just as you can the DFLWMED as well as zoom in and out of the map. You will have to enter the number of items that you want to place in the map (not to exceed the max for each group), and select a target area to place the items. You can change the percentage of items that come from each group. So if you want more Decorations and less sounds, you just increase the percentage of decoration. If the total percentage is greater than 100% other groups will be reduced.

The General Information screen for a map looks similar to the one in the
DFLWMED and works the same. It has 2 distinct changes however.
One, the dialog files are part of a drop down box allowing you select
only the files that are available in the game.
And two, the Fog color are a graphical display so you can see the
color that the fog will be before you go into the game.

This is not ment to replace the DFLWMED, it is only intended to compilment it.

Check it out in the download section.

Awesome Sound Tool for DFLW by Pappy 3/26/2001 11:33:16 PM
DF-LW Dialog Reference by Othello

This is one COOL utility. A must have for Map Makers!! This little gem will let you hear and see the information for the wav files that get used in the Events section of the DFLWMED.

You select the dialog file that you want to use and you get a list of the available wave numbers. By selecting a number you can see what information is displayed as well as the dialog that is spoke. There is a play button that will let you hear the dialog as well. By selecting the a character you will see what dialog (if any) they will say when the selected sound is played.

Again this is a must have for all map makers. Othello pulls the sounds directly from the DFLW.pff file so NO addition sounds are needed.
